Youth Pastor's Vision
Dear
Church,
The vision I have for FFWB Student
Ministry is to see our Youth and Youth leaders grounded in God’s word and to
have Him (Christ) first in our lives.
Here at FFWBC, we named our Student
Ministry UNITED. Psalms 133:1 tells us how good and how pleasant
it is for us to dwell together in Unity. I feel as a Youth group
and as a Church, we have to unite with one another, Love
one another, and work with unity in fulfilling the Great Commission for
Christ.
I thank our Lord and Savior for the
great and hard working team of leaders we have in our Ministry.
The leaders and I share the same vision.
That vision is to see grades three through five ministered to in a way that
by the time they come into our Rising Youth class, they will have been
taught and know the plan of Salvation, the great miracles, and all the great
truths in God’s word. We pray that God has begun to knock on their hearts
door and in answering that knock they receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and
Savior.
As they enter into our student ministry
they will find a variety of life lessons being taught; for example: Quiet
Time (spending time alone with God in prayer and Bible study), being
grounded in God, allowing Him first place in our lives, sexual purity, the
true meaning of worship, etc.
Then as our students grow, they will
have a solid rock foundation under them and begin to seek what God would
have them to do as they go on to be adults.
We have a group of students now that has
found their gift in Christ. They are helping prepare and teach God’s word to
our Rising Youth, using their gifts through Drama, through Praise and
Worship, and through Worship-N-Movement (a sign language to music ministry).
We have a GREAT group of young men and women that love Jesus and want to do
whatever they can for Him.
We just want to give God all the glory
for what He is doing in our Youth and allowing us to be a part of it.
UNITED Student Ministry is built on a
solid foundation which is “The Bible” and through God’s Word we find our
purpose: Reaching Up, Reaching In, and Reaching Out!
Reaching Up
(to give our Lord praise for what He has
done and will continue to do in our personal lives, our student ministry,
and our Church). Reaching In (to teach and learn the Word of God)
Reaching Out (that we will go out into a dark world, not falling to the
peer pressure and sinful desires but share Jesus Christ in such a way that
others will want to have Him as Lord of there life!)
